I've been shopping #6

When I go shopping I have a motto that follows me around like a squawky parrot on my shoulder. It goes by "If you don't love it, don't buy it". In turn, I don't often buy a lot, but when I do, it's usually because I can't stop thinking about it (I've been known to have dreams about shoes after seeing them in a shop). I spotted this skirt yesterday and couldn't wait to do a post on it, as I've been after one like this for about a year. Take a look..

The version of the skirt I originally wanted and couldn't get my hands on was from Topshop. This ones from Miss Selfridge, a shop I'm not naturally drawn too, but often find a little gems. The skirt is a gorgeous khaki green, which is perfect for the wintery months, but will also be a brilliant transitional piece for spring. I'm hoping to wear it tomorrow, so I will ask my partner in crime nicely if he can take some pictures of me with it on. I'll leave the link here for the skirt if you want to check it out yourselves.

Have you guys picked up any new pieces for the new year?

  3. you're dead right, don't buy often, buy right. a lot of my clothes i regularly wear are still going strong from 1 to 3 years back. gotta get savvy when money isn't throw away like a few years back as a student. only sale thing i picked up was a pair of clarks desert legends.

  4. I think you have a good philosophy of buying stuff! then you know you really like something and will get good use out of it if you like it!
